Oh gods I have no idea how to catagorize this. :P there's no papercraft section under fanart that I can find ;__;

It's not a very good picture, but I've been thinking about doing Nightingale cosplay (insane, I know) and this is the first step: mini paper prototype! I'm thinking it's actually plausible. It'll be a godawful amount of layers and quite a lot of material (whatever I happen to use), but... plausible.

This is from Skyrim in case you didn't already know somehow, haha...

Oooh. I love it. I just committed to this advanced undertaking myself. Do you have any idea what material you're thinking of using for the armor?

I haven't put many pictures up yet, but I'm actually mostly done. I've been using craft foam (brand foamies) and it's working really well. :)

that's really cool. im super new to making costumes but a lot of mentors have encouraged me to go with foam. one advanced seamstress is trying to coerce me into going with suede o.o but i don't want it to look plain. :/

Foam is a good way to go, because it's cheap if you make mistakes, and you don't have to sew it. glue works fine. :)

i've been more or less following this tutorial: [link] You might find it helpful. :)

you're welcome!

I'm also trying to start a group here on dA for Nightingale cosplayers, since a lot of people seem to be doing it. So keep an eye out for that. c:
